The Inspiring Story Behind Road to Gold
Road to Gold began with a single skating camp in Kansas City, MO, in 2018, organized by friends who wanted to bring elite athletes and a small skating community together for a weekend of learning. The camp was so successful that it sparked the vision to share this unique experience with skaters everywhere. Today, Road to Gold hosts camps in 19 states and features a staff of 10+ world-renowned figure skaters, including Mirai Nagasu, Max Aaron, Alexa Knierim, and Chris Knierim.

Tailored Training: A Personalized Approach to Skating Excellence
"Traditionally, figure skating camps were organized in a 'one size fits all' concept. Skaters were divided into groups based loosely on skating level. These groups would rotate through classes throughout the camp day. However, as athletes do not progress at the same pace, the topics covered were not necessarily always relevant to each athlete. Our camps are designed in a 'build your own' format that allows athletes to choose the classes that they take. This allows each skater to design the experience that best fits their needs. We also try to keep class sizes small. This allows both the athlete and the coach to focus on what exactly is needed," shares the Road to Gold team.
This personalized approach ensures that each skater receives focused, relevant training, making every class valuable and impactful.
