  • It’s as simple as downloading the Tandem Expert App and following the directions in the app to get registered. To download the app from the Apple App store click here.

  • How much you earn is completely up to you! You set your own prices and you get to control how much you want to promote your Tandem profile. If you’re worried about the time commitment, don’t be, Tandem is meant to help you earn money sharing your talent in your spare time. We give you tools to pause your offering if life is getting too busy.

  • Being an expert on Tandem is completely free. There are no membership fees, subscription charges, or hidden costs. We operate on a revenue-sharing model where you keep 75% of the earnings from each purchase, while Tandem retains 25%. This model aligns our interests with yours. We believe this structure fairly compensates you for your expertise, while also supporting the operational and developmental aspects of the Tandem platform.

  • To sign up as an expert on Tandem, you should have a strong background in your chosen field, whether it's a sport, performing art, or any other discipline we offer.

    If you don’t see your field reach out to us at contact@requesttandem.com and we’ll work with you to add it.

  • We know you are you busy. Tandem is meant to be something you can do in your spare time. Recording a Tandem for a customer can take as little 60 seconds.

    As an expert, you have full control to set your price and control if you want to take on any new students. There is no minimum commitment; however, timely responses (1 - 7 days) are encouraged to maintain a high level of student satisfaction.

  • Quality is paramount at Tandem. Students have the ability to review the Tandems they review. We have a review system where students rate and provide feedback on your analysis to make sure they are receiving value for their money.

    This system ensures that customers are getting the experience they expect when making a purchase.

  • Customers can discover your profile in two easy ways after they download the Tandem customer app:

    1. Searching for your name or username in the search bar at the top of the home page.

      Tip: Call this out to potential customers on your social media to make their journey to your profile as seamless as possible.

    2. Via the marketplace in the Tandem customer app where the app highlights new, trending, and featured experts to customers.

    Lastly, keep your profile updated and engaging. It's your chance to impress customers and showcase your expertise.

  • Tandem is currently only available on iOS devices such as iPhone and iPad.

    We are planning to add Android. Sign up for the waitlist to be notified when the Android app is ready. Click here to go to sign up.

Payment

  • All payouts are processed through Stripe. During the signup process, you will be prompted to create a Stripe account where you can access all your transactions, payout details, tax forms, etc.

  • You can see how much you’ve made by going to Profile->Stripe in the Tandem expert app or by downloading the Stripe Express App in the App Store.

  • The first way to access your Stripe Account is through the Tandem Expert app. Go to Profile —> Stripe and Press on the Stripe button and you will be directed to Stripe.

    The first way to access your stripe account is via the Stripe Express app in the App Store and logging in with your Stripe credentials you created during the signup process.

  • Payouts are processed on the first of every month to the bank account on file. It may take a few days for this to process especially if the first lands on a weekend or holiday.

  • There are a number of reasons why you may not have received a payout, but the two most most common reasons are:

    1. Your bank account is not properly set up

    2. You haven’t updated your SSN or tax info in Stripe

    The best way to try and fix this issue is to go to your Stripe account and check if there is an error for why you are not being paid.

  • At this time, all users must only receive payouts through Stripe.

  • All banking information must be updated directly in your Stripe account. Once in Stripe, click on the avatar at the top, select ‘Tandem Platform Inc.’ under payout details, and don’t forget to save your new banking/card info before exiting out.
